Alaska Fence Manufacturing and Supply
Alaska Fence Manufacturing and Supply began as a dream when Arnold and Debbie purchased their first chain link weaving machine in 2018. The goal was to transition out of fence installation into a related fencing supply business that would take them into retirement. In 2022 they acquired the property on N Hemmer Rd, which had previously supported The Fence Emporium and before that F&E Fence. AFMS continues a 30 year history of local fencing supply.
Arnold's journey in the fencing industry began at a young age in Berea, Kentucky, where he started building fences alongside his father when he was 10 years old. He remembers the days when tractor-trailer loads of individual rolls of chain link would arrive, and together, they would unload everything by hand. Arnold's family has a long history in the fencing industry, with a total of seven fence companies in the extended family.
Driven by a deep fascination for Alaska and his passion for hunting and fly fishing, Arnold made the decision in 1998 to leave Kentucky and Akers Fence. He made Anchorage his home where he founded his own company The Fence Guy, marking the beginning of his journey in Alaska's fencing industry. Over the decades Arnold has honed his craft and expertise to become one of the most knowledgeable fencing experts in Alaska.
For thirty years, and through three companies, our welder Mike has been at the Palmer facility constructing everything from gates and horse panels to temporary panels and dog kennels.
